OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE SHARP DESIGN FOR TIMELESS SPACES
We design sharp and timeless solutions for ever-changing environments. For us, dynamic change in living and working spaces nowadays has opened a breach for new, bold ideas. We regard change as an opportunity. The uniqueness of our products stems from our innovative design approach, forward-looking techniques, and an everlasting love for traditional craftsmanship. We understand the need for flexibility – our products can adapt to various materials, sizes and colors following our clients’ specific requests. We are always in search of something new and exciting, while keeping sustainability at the core of everything we do. OUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY IS ABOUT BUILDING THE RIGHT PARTNERSHIPS
The close relationship we have with our suppliers, manufacturers, and existing clients is reflected in the quality of our products. That is why, in 2020, after five years of solid growth, a consistent international presence, 86 products developed, and countless of them sold all over the world, our former brand, Ubikubi, joined forces with ARCADE GROUP, a top Romanian company providing complete services for tailor-made office spaces and high-performance acoustic solutions.
Together, we now stand as ASKIA, in a partnership meant to offer our clients the best of a reunited creative and technical expertise. As the design brand of ARCADE GROUP, we focus our entire energy on developing a new product range of furniture and acoustic solutions dedicated to office spaces, under the creative direction of Dragos Motica. Perfectly complemented by the impressive technical expertise and high production capabilities of ARCADE, we continually strive to unlock greater potential for developing and manufacturing state-of-the-art objects. With the help of over 140 specialists working in Bucharest and Mizil, ARCADE combines creative craftsmanship with advanced technologies to sustain the production of existing products and develop future ones under the ASKIA brand.

In Romanian, “AȘCHIA” means “the chip of wood”. For us, ever since the beginning, wood has been the most meaningful material. We aim to express its vital power, undeniable qualities and symbolic meanings in everything we do. As a local saying wisely states, “the chip does not jump far from the trunk”. Our name, AȘKIA (AȘCHIA), thus reflects a new beginning of something cherished that has been here before. A fresh start, but with invaluable lessons already encapsulated in our DNA. A change in strength and motivation. A bigger space for growth. With this belief in mind, we create sharp designs for timeless spaces.
