OSKAR ZIĘTA:Architect Process Designer Artist

OSKAR ZIĘTA:Architect Process Designer Artist

Oskar Zięta is an artist fascinated with the formal properties of metals, which he transforms into sculptures that play with the senses, often intimidate with their scale and cross the border between what is possible and what is only imagined. He uses his original method of metal forming in his works, which gives him endless possibilities of manipulating the material while not depriving it of authenticity and craftsmanship naturality.

Zięta creates both sculptures based on mathematical precision, as well as organic objects that question Euclidean geometry. His projects are the result of a close relationship between man and the material, a practice already exercised by his father Jan and grandfather Bolesław. While they forged steel with the help of their own hands and heavy tools, Oskar Zięta in his work uses more sophisticated machining methods. He is a 4.0 blacksmith who carves with data, which he materializes in the form of sculptures – that give the impression of being subtly shaped by natural forces. They contain the truth about the material from which they are made – Zięta deforms and stabilizes metal with internal pressure on the basis of meticulously collected information about it. How will it behave under the influence of a certain force? How will a polished surface reflect its surroundings? How will the context influence the reception of a given form? These are the questions that Zięta faces during the creative process based on the idea of a controlled loss of control. At the same time, he leaves the material a considerable margin of freedom, thanks to which he enters into a dialogue with it both in the virtual and real-world – transforming bits into atoms and these again into bit representations. Thanks to this cooperation with the material, his objects are characterized by a dose of precisely planned poetics. Born in 1975, Oskar Zięta is an architect, artist and process designer and the CEO of Zieta Studio. He holds a doctorate from the Eidgenössische

Zieta Studio's History

Zieta Studio's History

Zieta Studio was established in 2010 by Oskar Zięta. It was also the year when he introduced his first object to the market. It was the PLOPP stool that had already been awarded the Red Dot Design Award 2008, the German Design Council Award 2008 and the Forum AID Award 2009.

The history of the company begins earlier though. From 2003 Oskar Zieta worked as a research associate and a teaching assistant as the chair of CAAD at the ETH in Zurich where he wrote his doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ludger Hovestadt. The main focus of his thesis was the input of computer-controlled machines in the processing of metal sheets in architecture and design.

During his research at the ETH, Zieta developed different methods of enhancing the efficiency of technology for steel design, architecture and construction. The main topic was the use of steel sheets as a construction element – cheap, easy to shape and efficient. The problem with steel sheets is stability – the work was focused on how to reach the desired stability of steel sheets to be able to use them as construction elements. Many different technologies were developed – among others, FIDU technology.
During the first years of operating Zieta Collection was gradually created – it included furniture and accessories designed by Oskar to the date: the standard, mini and kitchen PLOPP (2006- 2009), Chippensteel 0.5 (2009), Chippensteel 1.0 limited edition (2006), RONDO mirror (2009), PIN and KAMM hangers (2009), RONDEL (2009).

Later on, other collections followed: Copper, Heat, Gradient and Transitions Collections.

Of course, the design of the offices differs from field to field and considerations. The best way to design the office is to reflect the company's values through the design concept and make the workplace functional.
By following the trends in interior design, we have several ideas of how to design your office room interior.
Let’s go! Go for eco-friendly materials! Keeping everything eco-friendly and natural is one of the most popular trends in interior design you should follow. There are various ways to do that in the office interior. First, you can use wood furniture and comfortable armchairs or sofas to create a work-friendly space. Second, as eco-friendliness is a priority, then, in this case, choose gypsum 3D wall panels. They create accent walls and can be painted in any color. If you are keen on wooden materials, then you can choose Printography. The same eco-friendly gypsum wall panels with protective layers, the textures of which elevate the room. The outer part of a layer can imitate wood material and match wooden furniture. Third, add plants to the office interior. As a result, the office feels accessible and promotes productivity creating a happier atmosphere for the working process. Go for power! When setting up your office, it would be a great idea to reflect the idol management system by adding personality to the office room. There are plenty of ways to go with this and design a dedicated workspace. However, a decorative gypsum bas-relief would be the most impressive one. It may be a bas-relief portrait of a historical person, a celebrity, a politician, a businessman, or whoever motivates you. People are more competent when they feel a connection of the soul with the

Wall panels for the kitchen: unaffordable luxury or perfect finishing?

Wall panels for the kitchen: unaffordable luxury or perfect finishing?

The choice of wall decoration for a kitchen where we do some cooking and have our meals should be based not only on visual appeal but on the functional characteristics of the finish. Modern wall panels for the kitchen are one of the most successful cladding options, which harmoniously combine aesthetic beauty and impeccable functionality.

Advantages of gypsum wall panels

Gypsum 3D panels combine all the advantages of high-quality interior decor. Made in various designs, they radically transform the living space and easily mask minor construction defects, hide the wires running along the walls and make the home environment more well-maintained. Let’s list the main benefits of gypsum wall panels: Environmental stability - the composition of the mineral includes only harmless components that do not cause allergies and do not emit toxic substances into the atmosphere. Fire safety - gypsum coating doesn’t burn or melt, tolerates high temperatures well, and in case of fire, prevents it from spreading. Additional soundproofing - gypsum absorbs sound waves, thereby protecting from street hubbub or overly expressive neighbors. Easy installation - most often, wall-mounted modules are produced in a large format, which, combined with low weight, highly facilitates their installation. Do not forget that gypsum is a natural material that allows air to pass through. Accordingly, it ensures normal thermoregulation and an optimal microclimate without the “greenhouse effect.” Is it possible to place wall panels in the kitchen? At first glance, a relief wall may seem very laborious to maintain, especially in the kitchen. High humidity, splashes of fat, and odors accompanying cooking processes may harm the lining appearance and quickly make it unusable. To prevent this from

Design Line: a big breakthrough for designers

Design Line: a big breakthrough for designers

It is human nature to create something of their own, something unusual, beyond reality but existing in fantasy.
And Design Line is the unusual collection of those creations.

Let us dig deeper into the Design Line project of Deco Line company to discover more about the challenging project.

The mission of the Design Line project is to create new connections with designers and architects and bring to life their newly discovered and creative ideas. With this in mind, Deco Line company embodies the author's unique sketches into reality. Obviously, the authors of the models are designers and architects. And maybe only for this reason, the 3D panels included in Design Line have unrepeatable designs.

Whenever communicating with designers or architects, the company members are under the impression that deep inside designers and architects crave something new, creative, exclusive, and bespoke because they have their ideas. As Deco Line highly appreciates everything innovative, the company came up with the solution of fulfilling the ideas of designers and architects in any way. And here is how the idea of the Design Line project was born. When we say the project, we mean a sort of cooperation between a designer or an architect and Deco Line company.

Design Line is a big breakthrough for designers. The authors give names to their models, which later appear in Deco Line’s catalog. Not only does it give worldwide recognition to the designer but also money: as the designer receives the sale of the model. In other words, the Design Line project allows the designers to represent and why not, sell their model and the company to have a unique collection, and always remain in trend!
Win-Win, right? So why not tell about the first but surely not the last success in Design Line? It refers to the first model in this series that was sold! The author of the model is the chief designer of Futuris Architects design studio, Ofelia Vardanyan. She was one of the first designers, much inspired by the idea of having her models in the series. As a result, she has created several models. The first success is all about D-03, a model consisting of tropical leaves but still looking firm and straight like geographical forms. Ofelia says it was a feeling of satisfaction and inspiration when someone from a different corner of the world liked and ordered the model she had created. In general, the feeling inspires designers to go on designing new models. Here is what the director at Imageman Architecture & Interior, Mikayel Karsayn, has done. Up to now, he has already created almost 30 unrepeatable and creative models and named them not less creatively: Dragon Scale, Symphony, Dilong, Arcada, Python, and so on. Below are represented some of the models created by him.
